Saving Souls
This song, like the other two has outstanding lyrics! Songs should, after all....SAY SOMETHING. And in much of pop music today we’ve lost that art. I encourage all you listeners to pay close attention to the lyrical content of all of their songs here. Don & Bob are bringing it back to what makes music good with no reliance on artificial enhancement. While I seldom say this online.... if there is a listener out there who wants to get in touch with these guys for publishing, a show, or what have you; please contact me and I will forward whatever message you might have.
After many weeks of recording, and sometimes re-recording, this anticipated song is finally finished. This project has been a beautiful and challenging thing for me personally! My last 10 to 15 projects at least have relied on very slick production to make the sound what it is. From a producers point of view, there is certainly merit in this in mastering a craft and polishing the rust off of what is not always so great to begin with. This is what the world has become in fact when it comes to modern music, sadly.
Don & Bob’s project forced me to go back to the roots of when I was first in recording school. And that is to simply make well written music sound good with good mixing and recording techniques. To not lose the feeling, and keep that very important factor that much of todays music has lost....
.DYNAMIC RANGE (due to over compression).

Tear Me From The Moment
Recorded and produced at the Arqa Dea Tribe studio. This is the second of 3 demo songs by Donald Brown & Bob Langill. Another beautifully crafted song in every way. Really, you just have to hear it for yourself! Of all the people I record, produce or work with in a year, I’d really like to see these guys go somewhere far! The string arrangement was all done in a new tool I’ve been wanting to use for a while now (Miroslav Philharmonic). And for this song it was used exclusively on the entire string arrangement. The results were outstanding.

7 Leaf Clover
Recorded and produced at the Arqa Dea Tribe studio. This first of 3 demo songs by Donald Brown & Bob Langill is a truly beautiful song. Beautifully crafted lyrics with guitar work and simple percussion production. All of Don & Bob's music is beautiful in its simplicity. It simply works, sounds good, and gives you a good feeling inside. Isn't that what music should do?!

You Are My God
Recorded and produced by Myself and Sonny Black, a truly amazing keyboard player who's talent knows few boundaries. Michelle is an amazing gospel singer who came here backed by her church, and with a few background singers to help out! She was under pressure to finish this song fast, and you can hear the strain a touch, that she does have a cold still during recording. But it comes across fantastic no matter what! One thing for certain about true gospel singers. They just seem to make it all so effortless regardless of circumstance.

A Prayer To The World ReMix
Well done folk music can sound very cool when given a modern edge! Composer and artist Michael Moon did this song www.thetempleofsound.com. This was my ReMix for him as he’s trying to “modernize” himself with a different edge and sound than he is used to. ReMixing folk music is a delicate art. Michael likes all things acoustic generally. This is an example of how you can make a marriage of electronic and acoustic sounds without ruining the vibe of who the artist is either. Electronic remixes of this style of music can quickly go south if you’re not choosing sounds, synth pads, and drum styles that carefully match the existing tracks but don’t overpower it too much.
I added soft pads in the background of the verses, a programmed native style beat in the verse also, and lots of heavy electronics and programming in the chorus to add some real punch to the original mix. Trippy vocal effects also help to give it a more etherial sound.

Invoke

The first song on the new album “Planetronica” when finished. This magical and mysterious ambient piece features vocals & marimba work by Michael Moon. For more information on Michael, visit his website at: www.thetempleofsound.com

Filling The Void
Still in pre-production phase, but sounding almost finished. I would like to add in some heavy tribal sounds now to finish this off. But others have mentioned it sounded done “as is”. So I’m putting it online regardless

In Constant Motion
Was produced and recorded by Beau, originally for an African benefit CD, whom wanted a house sounding track that fit the theme. At the very last minute after the song was finished, they decided to change the format of the music they wanted. However, it still makes a fine showcase piece.

Sky Walking
Was composed for a performance in Fantasy Fashion Show 2008. I played live drums over the top of it as part of the performance.

Rum & Coca-Cola / Culture Shock / Mastife
Rhythm + showcase piece / part of a 3 song demo for 2009.

Ride For Me
Performed by Khesan, and produced & recorded by myself and the S. Black Entertainment team at the Arqa Dea Tribe studio.

It’s Your Body
Performed by Don Davis and produced & recorded by myself and the S. Black Entertainment team at the Arqa Dea Tribe studio.
