In this episode I visit Dufferin Islands Park in Niagara Falls. It’s a magical place, with little bits of land connected by small bridges over a body of water. Really worth visiting!
While it would have been nice to record this right on Niagara Falls, it was simply too loud and too many people. It just wasn’t going to happen. But doing one of these videos at one of the wonders of the world was very appealing, and my plan once I got there. All the same, Dufferin Islands is just as wonderful.
Being I’m traveling, I am playing a plastic didgeridoo that collapses down into 4 pieces and fits into a small bag. It’s ideal for carrying around when you don’t know what you might encounter, and is also very light. It’s not as responsive and fun, but it does the job. The waterfall in the background was a bit louder than I would have thought and somewhat overpowering, but I think it fits.
In the next installment I’ll be well into the Winter months. My hope is to get to playing in a snow fall! How cool would that be? I’ll only be playing synthetic instruments in the outdoors now for obvious reasons.
